BRITISH car customiser Kahn Design have unveiled what is likely to be the most insane vehicle available to buy in the UK.

The new Kahn Design Flying Huntsman 6×6 Civillian Carrier appeared at the Geneva Motor Show this week, and shocked onlookers with its monstrous appearance.

A stretched version of the much smaller Land Rover Defender 110, the six-wheeler is a whopping 5.1 metres in length and can carry up to nine people.

And incredibly, the customising firm have claimed the giant motor won’t look out of place on the tiny streets of London, and said it could take over from the popular Range Rover as the new “Chelsea Tractor”.

Worth £249,995, the Flying Huntsman is the first motor to be produced under the Chelsea Truck Company Banner, with the company committed to creating one for anyone that can afford the brute vehicle.

The motor is packed full of exciting features, including a panoramic roof, clever driving technology, racing-style driver’s seat, and enough pulling power to tow a tank.

The Huntsman comes with a choice of two engine types: a 170hp 2.2-litre diesel or a 430hp 6.2-litre V8 diesel.

And while the 2.2-litre model might be enough for your everyday runabout with a top speed of 130mph, it is the V8 that packs serious grunt for those that want to take the motor off-road.

Late last year, Kahn Design showed off a convertible version of the Flying Huntsman fitted with the same V8 engine.

Likened to a safari vehicle, the truck added an extra soft-top compartment in the rear of a Defender to accommodate two extra passengers.

Afzal Kahn, chief executive of Kahn Design, said: “We are a fully independent British car company and it is an exciting time.

“The Civilian Carrier is a stunning six-wheel drive car, ideal for big families who enjoy spending time together in the great outdoors.

“With extensive safety features and plenty of clever technology to make driving effortless, the Civilian Carrier could be the best choice for carrying family, friends and their luggage.”
