The British legend started life building practical workhorses with conversions into military trucks, ambulances and police vans – tackling some of the world’s toughest terrain.

Now the brand is popular with some of the UK’s biggest names from heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua to the Royal family.

In celebration of the anniversary, the British car maker will launch a global broadcast to the company’s development through the years at 8pm on YouTube.

Prof Dr Ralf Speth, Jaguar Land Rover CEO, said: “Land Rover was born with the launch of a single vehicle. Today our family of SUVs is testament to the pioneering spirit of innovation that has characterised Land Rover for seven decades.
